Andy Anderson – Owner
I am a second generation well driller. My Dad, Joe Anderson, started his business in 1958 doing plumbing, electrical, and well drilling. As licensing came into being, he got his master plumbing license, master electrical license, and well drilling license. I worked with him from early teen years after school and summers learning the trades. I was licensed in well drilling the same time he was and also got my limited electrical and plumbing licenses. I bought the business from him in 1986 and worked well drilling full time.
I presently employ 5 people and do private wells, public wells, and commercial wells. We also install geo-thermal loops and wells for air conditioning/heating. We also have clients that we install cathodic protection wells for. We install and service all types of filtration systems including iron, softeners, sulfur removal systems, and reverse osmosis systems. Whole house RO systems are our specialty. Most are for normal houses, but we also do commercial systems that make large quantities of water.
In addition to operating my company, I am an Elder at West Ashley Independent Baptist Church. I am a board member of the SC Ground Water Association, serving as president for 3 years. I was given an Outstanding Contributions to Ground Water Industry award by SCGWA. I am also a board member of the South Atlantic Jubilee, an organization of Atlantic states (10) that works to promote the drilling industry, promote professionalism within our industry, and offers many and varied educational opportunities as continuing education classes. The Jubilee has an annual conference in Myrtle Beach every year. I am a past recipient of the George McCall award from the Jubilee. This award is given for outstanding contributions to the well drilling industry. The SC Ground Water Association does the same things on a statewide basis. I also serve on Meggett Planning Commission as Chairman. I am a Father of two children, a daughter, Jeanie and a son Jody and two grandchildren and a wonderful wife of 48 years, Rose Marie.
